"Great Cars - Great Burgers"
I remember when the south main store was closing. There were some car enthusiasts and car clubs that decided to do a cruise night. I believe this was 1989. The workers at Prince's told us they were closing to sell the property and Friday would be their last day. Needless to say, after everyone started bringing the cars and streetrods it was June of 1990 before the drive in closed. I had to skip my graduation party in Brookshire just to make it downtown in time. There were so many people cruising main street that you would think you had gone back in time. The new store on I-10 had pictures of those last days on the wall and my friend and I could just make out our faces in the picture behind my girlfriends '29 Tudor.
